Insurance Coverage
I realize that people are entrusting their pets as well as their home to me,
hiring me as their pet visitor, and therefore take it very seriously.
Bonnie's
Pet Sitting is an LLC (Limited Liability Company) registered with the
state of Maine, and is also insured by Pet Sitters Associates (PSA) LLC.
You can find the insurance website at
www.petsitllc.com for more information. I also have PSA's Special Personal Property of
Others endorsement, which is broader than most bonds. Bonds are usually for pet
sitters that have employees, to cover potential dishonest acts. I have no
employees, as I want to stay small and individually personalized with my
clients. But the Special endorsements also provides for customer's property in
my care, custody or control.
I also have the insurance 'provision' through Pet Sitters Associates LLC for pets
staying at my own home.

but it all starts with educating communities. Everything that happens at a

resources our communities have to pick up the pieces and give pets a second
chance.

Please double-check the sex of your pet
bunnies especially if you're grouping them with other pet bunnies so they can
get along the best and also not create unwanted litters. There are so many
bunnies out there that need homes or are not cared for properly once the novelty
of them wears off. Bunnies are sweet social passive creatures by nature, and
spaying and neutering makes them less territorial/hormonal = better as pets.

gives so much great info for bunny nutrition & overall well being.

About Me
I have always had a strong
interest in the welfare of animals and had always tried to figure out what I
could best do on a daily basis involving and allowing me to be with pets.
Providing personal Pet Care was the answer. I am 40 and have a Bachelors
degree in Management.
I grew up in Berwick ME, where my family roots are,
and have always lived locally. Prior to offering my own pet care services,
I assisted in the operations of other businesses and have been commended on my customer service, efficiency and
attention to detail. I decided it was time to put my experiences to work
at what I truly have a "passion" for. I used to feel torn that I couldn't be
with our (now)15 pets(our pet family used to be smaller--it has
grown) and had to make alternative arrangements for
them. I figured other people may be in similar situations... and again,
providing pet
care was the answer...allowing me to do what I love and do best...care for
pets.
My husband, Glen, and I have
supported & volunteered at CVHS
of Dover doing events, walking the dogs when we could in the past & providing foster care within our own home. I
have a lot of experiences caring for and welcoming pets,- especially special
needs pets - into our home. In the past, Snuffy & I (and a few
foster kittens from time to time) regularly visited nursing homes to spread the benefits of
pet/human bonds and relationships. So rewarding -- I hope someone does
that for me some day.

I carry the book, PET FIRST AID,

Bobbie Mammato, DVM, MPH, with me to refer to as a reference if necessary.
It's a wonderful reference for anyone who is owned by pets! There are also
other great informational publications such as The Whole Dog Journal, BARK, and others
that can be found in local pet establishments, such as Dog in Sight &, All Creature's Exchange that offer
insights for an array of pet issues.
Our pets and my pet visitees are always teaching me new and fun things as well!
